A Day in Savannah, Georgia

I recently had the pleasure of working with one of my very favorite conceptual artists, Heather Evans Smith. There were nine other super talented women in the workshop and we spent the day at the beautiful Wormsloe Plantation. The dirt roads were lined with spanish moss and although it was a sight to behold, there was an eerie feeling about it–as if you could sense the people who were there before us –over 100 years ago.

We had two gorgeous models and a hair and make-up artist which was something new for me, and each of us created our own scenes. I learned so much, not just from Heather, but from the other talented photographers in our group. It was too short of a time, really, but in our day together we were blessed with cloudy skies that lit up our scenes beautifully.

Here are some of the images I created.

If you ever get the chance to visit Savannah, I recommend it! I will definitely be going back to explore more of it’s beauty.
